About

OBJECT A is an infinite series of algorithmic posters. Each composition is drawn live in the browser by a small set of generative engines — geometric tessellations, chromatic strata, lissajous harmonics, fractured grids, moiré interference and more — producing a new piece every time the page loads.

The work takes its name and grammar from Lacanian psychoanalysis. Objet petit a is the unattainable object-cause of desire — what keeps us looking. Each mode in the series — Sinthome, L'Autre, Le Réel, Le Regard, Le Semblant, La Coupure — is a different attempt to give form to that pull: rhythm, rupture, repetition, gaze.

Browse the grid, customize what you find in the editor, and download a print-ready file. Every poster is yours, and no two are the same.
